If you're looking to boost performance and efficiency in your 2014-2018 RAM 3.0L Ecodiesel, the IFJF 3" DPF Delete Pipe is the perfect upgrade. Designed for off-road and racing use, this high-quality exhaust component eliminates restrictive factory emissions systems, improving airflow and power. Below, we’ll guide you through installation and explain why this is a must-have for serious Ecodiesel owners.
Why Choose the IFJF 3" DPF Delete Pipe?
Before we dive into installation, here’s why this product stands out:
- Increased Horsepower & Torque – Removing the restrictive DPF allows your engine to breathe freely, unlocking hidden power.
- Better Fuel Efficiency – Reduced backpressure means improved combustion and MPG gains.
- Durable Construction – Made from premium materials for long-lasting performance in off-road conditions.
- Direct Bolt-On Fit – Designed to match factory connections for a hassle-free install.
- Off-Road Use Only – Not compliant with highway emissions laws. Always check local regulations before installation.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install your IFJF 3" DPF Delete Pipe:
Step 1: Disconnect Sensors & Remove Exhaust Components
Disconnect all sensors and DEF injectors on the downpipe, SCR, and diesel particulate filters. Releasethe clamp between the exhaust pipe and muffler, and slide the exhaust pipe out from under the truck.

Step 2: Remove the SCR & Factory DPF Assembly
1.Remove the three fasteners at the flange of the three bolts, and then remove the SCR assembly.
2.At the turbocharger, loosen the bolt to loosen the strap clamp that secures the drain pipe, and then remove the clamp. Use a screwdriver with a flame to pry out the clamps from three positions on the flange. Remove the drain pipe and keep the clip as it will be reused with the new drain pipe.

Step 3: Install the New Downpipe 1
Install the 1 downpipe using the previously removed factory V-clamp. Do not fully tighten the V-belt clamp at this time, as it may require adjusting the drain pipe.

Step 4: Install the Intermediate Pipe 2
Install the provided 2 intermediate pipe, ensuring that the hanger is placed in the factory liner on the frame. The hanger should point towards the front of the vehicle.

Step 5: Install the Tail Pipe 3 & Adjust for Fit
Install tube 3 and slide the long end into the end of tube 2. Attention: If your vehicle has a shorter carriage (5*7 inches), you need to cut 7 inches from the front end pipe (do not approach the hanger). This end slides into the muffler assembly.

Step 6: Reattach the Muffler & Finalize Installation
Next, install the factory muffler assembly to the end of pipe 3 and install the exhaust pipe to the outlet of the muffler assembly.

Step 7: Tighten All Clamps & Check Clearance
Starting from the downpipe, tighten the band clamps and each clamp, then move towards the rear of the vehicle to ensure there is sufficient clearance around all pipes. (i.e. transmission lines, hoses, wires, etc.)
